PSM 501 MV/LV Peelable Solder Masks

Description:

PSM 501 MV and LV are temporary, peelable solder masks, manufactured without ammonia. They are formulated as semi-thixotropic, PVC plastisols and are designed to withstand fluxing, wave soldering, and cleaning operations. They can be applied by screen-printing or via dispensing apparatus (i.e. XY machines).

Applications:

PSM 501 MV/LV protects PC boards, plated through-holes, contacts, pins, posts, terminals, and gold fingers during wave soldering.

Directions:

PSM 501 peelable solder mask is designed for screen-printing or dispensing equipment (XY computer controlled dispensers). Screen Printing is done utilizing a polyester monofilament mesh of 50-60. For best printing utilize an A60-A70 durometer squeegee. PSM 501 LV is a peelable solder mask designed for auto-dispensing. It works well in an Asymtek dispensing system at 85 psi with a 40 mil EFD nozzle.

Curing/Removal

Curing is accomplished by the application of heat. Bring panels up to 350 degrees F and hold for 5 minutes.
