CPVC AIR-DRY DIP COATING and CPVC PATCH COATING This is an air-dry coating that can be used as a dip coating for metals, fabrics, rubber and some plastics. IMPORTANT: CPVC, like all solvent based and water-based coatings, will give much thinner coatings than is possible with regular PLASTISOL. Beware, there are many inferior (poor) coatings out there, that do not hold a candle to what is achievable with a good plastisol. One of the strongest and nicest coatings available, that will at least hold up well , is CPVC. CPVC 's are chlorinated PVC's that are also used as patch coatings for repairing PVC Plastisols. This coating will give a durable and yet flexible repair. It can be brushed or sprayed on and is available clear and in various colors and viscosities. (Special sprayable version is available with lower viscosity e.g. CPVC-901-SPRAY ). See price list Air-dry time is 1 to 2 hours. SPECIFICATIONS: CPVC-4 MIBK based VISCOSITY: 3000-6000 cps @ 72 deg. F Product can be thinned with MEK or MIBK (ketones) or thickened with our MF-005 fumed silica, to desired viscosity. Wt/Gallon: 7.8 to 7.92 COVERAGE: Calculate by total area x thickness of coating: There are 231 cubic inches/gallon. For example: 53 sq. ft. with a 0.030 inch layer.
