P7002 BASE PLASTISOL & COLORS

This product is designed around Military Specification P20689D.

SUPERSEDED by "Mil A-A-59464A Plastisol for coating metal Objects"

P7002 Plastisol is a 100% solids, free flowing liquid vinyl dispersion with a gel temperature of approximately 170oF. and a fusion temperature of 350oF. After fusing it becomes a tough, flexible coating: resistant to acids, cleaners, plating solutions, petroleum fuels, detergents and salt water. It is an excellent material for dip coating, providing a decorative, protective and insulative coating as well as for making molded parts. This type of plastisol is widely used for coating plating racks for the plating industry, tool handles, many types of gaskets, etc.

Where adhesion to metal is required, plastisol primer is necessary. QCM Co.'s A-1104 is recommended.
