QCM Dipping Plastisol for Playground Equipment QCM Company is a compounder of liquid plastisols for dip coating. Plastisol for playground equipment is one of our specialty areas. All of our product grades are 100% solids, free-flowing liquids, with a viscosity ideal for dip coating. After fusing, the plastisol becomes a tough, flexible coating, resistant to most environmental factors. QCM Plastisol resists abrasion for regularly used equipment. QCM has four main grades of plastisol available in many colors. P8804RB Glossy Brown Plastisol P8804RB is QCM’s standard brown glossy plastisol. It has been formulated for very good environmental resistance and a clean, glossy finish yet with high grip characteristics. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES Durometer Hardness Shore A 81 +/- 4 Brookfield viscosity Spindle #4 at 20 rpm 2000-4000cps at 77oF Tensile Strength approx. 2000 lb/sq in Elongation approx. 450% Specific Gravity : 1.08 +/- 0.05 Color: Brown P8804RD Matte Brown Plastisol P8804RD is QCM’s matte-finish brown plastisol. It has been formulated with a smooth matte finish for better grip when climbing. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES Durometer Hardness Shore A 81 +/- 4 Brookfield viscosity Spindle #4 at 20 rpm 2000-4000cps at 77oF Tensile Strength approx. 1200lb/sq in Elongation approx. 300% Specific Gravity: 1.12 +/- 0.05 Color: Brown P6979 Textured Black Plastisol P6979 is QCM’s textured black plastisol. It has been formulated with a high matte finish and a durable softer feel. It has maximum slip resistance. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES Durometer Hardness Shore A 68 +/- 4 Brookfield viscosity Spindle #4 at 20 rpm 2000-4000cps at 77oF Tensile Strength approx. 1600 lb/sq in Elongation approx. 500% Specific Gravity : 1.12 +/- 0.05 Color : Black P8911 Gloss Black Plastisol P8911 is QCM’s most economical black plastisol. It has been formulated with a smooth durable finish. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES Durometer Hardness Shore A 80 +/- 4 Brookfield viscosity Spindle #4 at 20 rpm 2000-4000cps at 77oF Tensile Strength approx. 1700 lb/sq in Elongation approx. 300% Specific Gravity : 1.12 +/- 0.05 Color : Black P8001-701 Grass Green and Various Colors P8001-701 is a grass green plastisol coating. It is formulated with high environmental resistance and high abrasion resistance. P8001 is available in many other standard colors, and can be used for accents or for entire pieces. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES Durometer Hardness Shore A 77 +/- 5 Brookfield viscosity Spindle #5 at 20 rpm 2000-5000cps at 77oF Tensile Strength approx. 2000 lb/sq in Elongation approx. 450% Specific Gravity : 1.12 +/- 0.05 Color : Green or Various CPVC-8804 and –901 Air-Dry Patch Coat CPVC-8804 brown and CPVC-901 black are solvent-based patch coats for repair of plastisol-coated frames. They are used to repair defects in the dip coating process or to repair divots and gauges for in-field repairs. CPVC plastisol repair can be easily brushed on or applied with a spatula and will air dry to a tough finish in a few hours.
